Description
Kleinenberg's codlet is a small deepwater fish (Bregmacerotidae) from the open, deeper water of the Mediterranean and adjacent Atlantic. The species grows to about 6 cm and has a slender, silvery body with large eyes and long dorsal and anal fins. As a small pelagic fish of the twilight zone it hovers in the water column and snaps at small zooplankton. The fish is harmless to humans.
