Description
The Blue-lined large-eye bream is a large-eye bream (Lethrinidae) from the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 80 cm and has a deep, silver-grey body with large eyes. Wavy blue lines run around the large eyes on the head. As a bottom-oriented predator it searches coral and rocky reefs and adjacent sand and seagrass flats for molluscs, crustaceans and small fish. It is a food fish. The fish is harmless to humans.
