Description

The species grows to about 7 cm and has an elongate, silvery body, a pointed head and small sharp teeth, making it resemble a miniature freshwater barracuda. As a surface hunter it chases small fish and insects in rivers and streams. The fish is harmless to humans and has no commercial value. The IUCN has not evaluated the species.
