Description
The resplendent angelfish is a small angelfish (Pomacanthidae) endemic to the reef waters around Ascension in the southern Atlantic. The species grows to about 7 cm and has a vivid sky-blue body with an orange-yellow back and a black-blue edged tail. As a shy reef-dweller it darts among coral and rock and grazes algae, biofilm and small invertebrates. The fish is harmless to humans.
