Description
Randall's threadfin bream is a threadfin bream (Nemipteridae) from the Indo-West Pacific. The species has an elongate, pink to reddish body with yellowish lengthwise lines and a thread-like elongated upper tail lobe. It lives bottom-bound on sand and mud bottoms of coastal waters. As a bottom hunter it feeds on small fishes, crustaceans and worms. Via the Suez Canal it has invaded the Mediterranean. The species is harmless to humans.
