The Striped slender anthias is a slender anthias (Serranidae, Anthiadinae) from reef water of the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 6 cm and has a very slender, red-pink with yellow and blue longitudinal lines body. As a plankton feeder it hovers in dense schools above coral and rock slopes and snaps at small zooplankton. It lives in harem groups in which a female changes sex on loss of the male. The fish is harmless to humans.
