The filament glassfish is a glassfish (Ambassidae) from clear, soft fresh water of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. The species grows to about 4 cm and has a deep, almost transparent body through which the organs show; males bear strikingly extended, thread-like, red-edged dorsal and anal fins. As a schooling fish it swims among water plants and snaps at small zooplankton and larvae. The fish is harmless to humans.
