Description

The Clarion damselfish is a damselfish (Pomacentridae) from reef water of the Revillagigedo Islands in the eastern Pacific. The species grows to about 13 cm and has a deep, laterally compressed, plain brown body. As a fiercely territorial bottom-dweller it defends an algal garden on rocks and coral against intruders and eats algae, detritus and small invertebrates. The fish is harmless to humans.
