Description
The feeble lefteye flounder is a small flatfish (Bothidae) from coastal waters of the western Pacific, off East Asia. The species grows to about 17 cm and has a thin, oval, strongly flattened, pale-brown body with both eyes on the left side. As a bottom-dweller it lies half-buried on sand and mud bottoms of the continental shelf and ambushes small crustaceans, worms and small fish. The fish is harmless to humans.
