Description
The Manyscale bleak is a cyprinid (Cyprinidae) from fresh water of the Lake Dian region in Yunnan, China. The species has a slender, laterally compressed, silvery body with a shiny flank. As a schooling fish it swims in clear lakes and rivers, often near the surface, and snaps at small zooplankton, insects and algae. The fish is harmless to humans.
