Description
The spottail frillgoby is a goby (Gobiidae) from shallow rocky and intertidal areas of the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 8 cm and has a stocky, brown-marbled body with fringed upper pectoral rays and fused pelvic fins forming a sucker. As a tolerant bottom-dweller it sits in tide pools and by stones and snaps at small crustaceans, worms and algae. The fish is harmless to humans.
