Description
The bluestriped dottyback is a dottyback (Pseudochromidae) from the western Pacific. The species is small and handsomely coloured; males and females differ strongly, with blue stripes on head and body. It is common but shy and lives concealed in holes and crevices of exposed outer reefs. As a small predator it snaps small crustaceans and invertebrates. The species is harmless to humans.
