Description
The doublepore blenny is a small blenny (Chaenopsidae) from coastal and brackish water of the western Atlantic and Caribbean. The species grows to about 5 cm and has an elongate body with fringe-like appendages on the head. It occupies abandoned worm tubes and holes in sand and rubble bottoms, from which only the head protrudes, and snaps at small zooplankton. The fish is harmless to humans.
