Description

The fusilier damselfish is a slender damselfish (Pomacentridae) from the Indo-Pacific. The species grows to about 11 cm and has an elongate, streamlined, blue-green to silvery body with a forked tail, unusual for a damselfish. Unlike most damselfish it hovers in schools in open water above steep reef slopes and picks zooplankton from the current. The fish is harmless to humans.
