Description
Ansorge's kneria is a small African fish (Kneriidae) from fast-flowing streams of Angola and the Congo basin in Central Africa. The species grows to about 8 cm and has an elongate, yellow-brown body with an underslung mouth; males have a conspicuous gill-cover organ. As a bottom-dweller it lives in clear, oxygen-rich water and grazes algae and growth. The fish is harmless to humans.
