Description
The Indonesia weedfish is a small, elongate clinid from the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 8 cm and is reddish-brown with five to six diffuse cross-bars and large, uneven pale spots on the upper and lower flanks; juveniles have a pearly-white band behind the eye. It lives among weeds on vegetated reefs, preferring cooler water around upwelling areas, between 3 and 15 metres depth. The fish is harmless to humans and is assessed as Least Concern (LC) by the IUCN.
