The Domine (Epinnula magistralis) is a saltwater fish of the family Gempylidae that grows up to 100 cm.
Description
The domine is a snake mackerel (Gempylidae) from warm, deep parts of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The species grows to about 1 metre and has an elongate, laterally compressed, silver-grey body with a large mouth full of sharp teeth. As a fast predator it hunts fish and squid on the continental slope between about one hundred and two hundred metres. It is a local food fish. The fish is harmless to humans.
