Description
The sad klipfish is a clinid (Clinidae) from coastal waters of southern Africa. The species grows to about 13 cm and has an elongate, variable green to brown body that matches weed and seagrass, with a long, continuous dorsal fin and a pointed head. As a bottom-dweller it lives in tide pools and on shallow rocky reefs and snaps at small crustaceans and invertebrates. It is livebearing. The fish is harmless to humans.
