Description
The bicolor spaghetti eel is a very slender, worm-shaped eel (Moringuidae) from the Indo-West Pacific. The species grows to about 40 cm and has a strongly elongate body that is dark above and pale below, with strongly reduced fins and small eyes. As a burrowing bottom-dweller it lives buried in sand and mud of shallow coastal and reef-lagoon water and hunts small invertebrates at night. The fish is harmless to humans.
